Art Exhibit: Paint Chip Challenge - Bobbin Chasers Quilts
During the month of April The Bobbin Chasers quilt group has quilts on display in the gallery of the Westwood Public Library. The group has tackled another quilting challenge in this showcase. Each member of the group randomly selected a different paint chip from three paint buckets: One containing only light colors, one medium and one dark. Vicki Pariyar, formerly of Westwood, and now owner of Knots & Bolts Creative Co. of Sanford, ME, was instrumental in enhancing these quilts with her longarm quilting expertise.
For this month’s display each member followed the same quilt pattern using the paint chip palette. The members of The Bobbin Chasers implemented this quilt method, and when displayed together the quilts on display became a study in the use of color. Stop by to see the colorful quilts on display in the Gallery of the library all through the month of April.
