State & Federal Forms

Forms and booklets will be made available as they arrive at the Main Library and Islington Branch. We receive the 1040 Federal Form and the MA Form-1 for Residents and Non-Residents.

You can visit the IRS Forms Page and the MA Department of Revenue Page to find all the federal and state forms you may need this tax season.

E-File on a Computer

Public computers are available if you need one for e-filing. We recommend you check with staff before starting a filing session as some website don’t allow you to save your work.

Printing @ the Library

Tax forms are printed free of charge at the Main Library Information Desk and at the Islington Branch. Standard printing charges may apply for booklets and instructions.

Go to the Massachusetts Department of Revenue Page to find all the forms you may need this tax season. We only receive hard copies of MA Form 1 but can print online forms free of charge at the library.

An enrolled agent is a tax practitioner licensed by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent any taxpayer (individual, business, corporation or estate) before the Internal Revenue Service and state taxing authorities. A CPA is an accountant who has satisfied education and experience requirements and successfully completed an exam testing business, auditing and general accounting skills. Free or Low-Cost Services

For qualifying senior taxpayers, the AARP Foundation’s Tax Aid Program provides free tax preparation services.

There are 4 LITC locations in Massachusetts providing services to taxpayers who are low income or who speak English as a second language (ESL). Learn more about the Boston, Jamaica Plain, Springfield, and Waltham locations.
