Welcome to Summer Reading for Adults
Step outside your comfort zone—or even just outside your house—and discover something new! Track the books you read for a chance to win weekly prizes and a grand prize basket.
How to Participate
There are two ways to participate: on the Beanstack App or on paper. Log in or sign up with the Beanstack app (westwoodlibrary.beanstack.org) and register for the 2026 Read Wildly Challenge OR simply pick up a paper log at the Main or Islington Branch Library. Turn in paper log(s) at either location as you finish them to be included in weekly drawings, and by August 31st to be included in the grand prize drawing. If you’re participating on Beanstack, simply log your books as you go and you will be automatically entered for all drawings. Remember, you don’t have to “complete” each log to turn it in. Read one, six or 50 books this summer! The choice is yours and all entries count.
Why Participate?
Enlightenment, of course! But also: the chance to win prizes. Each week , we will be giving away a Westwood Library mini swag bag. At the end of the summer, we will draw two grand prize winners who will win a Kindle and other bookish goods. Remember, the more you read, the better your chance to win!
What to Read
Whatever you want, of course! But if you are looking for some recommendations or fun reading prompts on a theme, we’re here for you! Check out our Reading Garden Path Below and don’t forget to browse our What Should I Read Next Page for even more ideas.
