Supporting Educators & Caretakers
The Youth Services Department is always happy to help locate materials in-house and elsewhere in the Minuteman system to help educators in classrooms or parents at home!
Request a Library Visit
Please contact the Children’s Room at 781-320-1042, or email the Youth Services staff at wwdchildrens@gmail.com, at least 3 weeks ahead of the proposed visit to read to children, talk about getting library cards, for classroom help using public library resources, or other related services.

Institution Library Cards
Schools and other institutions that wish to allow a person or individuals to borrow materials for school use, can apply for an Institution Library Card. To establish a card, please send a letter with:
- Institutional letterhead
- Signature from appropriate institutional authority
- Granted permission in writing allowing the applicant to check out materials in the institution’s name
Materials may be checked out for 6 weeks and should be for the institution only. The card is accepted only at Westwood Public Library. For more information, please contact Caroline Tighe at ctighe@minlib.net or by calling 781-320-1048.
Kids eBooks & Databases
Your library card number allows you access to quality, free digital content through the library!
Download eBooks and audiobooks at home or on the go from Libby, or visit one of our kids’ databases for instant access to information to complete that last-minute homework assignment even if you can’t make it into the library.
